Tracy & Hutchies Xmas Party
[info]hutchiebear

Okay, if you have been re-directed here by [info]justtracy it’s probably because you want to download the Tracy & Hutchie Xmas Party audio files. Just right click on the links to download the files, they are in MP3 format to keep the file size down. If you just happened by this site or you want to try the following links then please do so.

HutchFM is a fictitious radio station that Tracy & Hutchie use for fun to make programmes which are not broadcast although they are broadcast quality. No copyright infringement is intended or accepted

Here are a few help points if you have problems downloading from my server.

If you are getting a Quicktime error message when you click on the link then this is probably because you have iTunes on your PC and the default audio player was set for Quicktime when you installed it.

You can change this by opening Quicktime from the Start menu, selecting Edit, Preferences, Quicktime Preferences then Advanced. If you scroll down the file types until you get to MP3 the box should not be checked and the default player should be Windows Media Player. If it’s not then change it. You should then restart your PC and try again.

If you are using Netscape, Firefox or Safari make sure the Java console is active in Tools.

If that dosen’t work try pasting the links into a blank Word document and see if you can access the files that way.

If you are still having problems or you want to download the files from my server you can do it you have FTP Client software like CuteFTP or TerrapinFTP. I use Terrapin FTP and you can download a 30day trial version from  http://www.tpin.com/

To access my server for the first time click Server from the menu then New Connection, in the FTP box type ftp://hutchiebearuk@core.ftpsitecontrol.com

Username = hutchiebearuk (all lower case)

Password = Hutchie1 (first letter is upper case)

Port = 21

You will find the files in hutchfm/xmas and to download the files just highlight them and drag & drop to whatever folder you want on your pc.

If when you have downloaded them you could burn them onto a blank CD and set the time between tracks (usually 2 secs) to 0 secs and then you will hear the programme as it was made

Or try this quicklink access ftp://hutchiebearuk:Hutchie1@core.ftpsitecontrol.com/hutchfm/xmas

Happy New Year
[info]hutchiebear
Did anybody notice where Christmas & New Year went to? It's only January 5th 2007 but Christmas & New Year 2006 seems to have flown by.

It's just mad but thanks to [info]justtracy for being there and keeping me sane (if that's possible) We've had a dare to be even more geeky in 2007, a tough call considering what we did in 2006 but I'm sure we'll give it our best shot.

Anyway to anybody browsing this site I hope you have a great New Year and check out my other site here http://www.myspace.com/hutchiebeariscool

Bye for now.

Merry Christmas

I'm Still Here
[info]hutchiebear

HAPPY NEW YEAR to anybody who might be passing through.

Wow [info]justtracy just reminded me that I haven't posted on my LJ for 25 weeks, that's nearly half a year. Not sure why I haven't posted really just haven't.

A lot of the interesting stuff that happen to me is usually with [info]justtracy and she posts about it on her LJ so there's no point in me posting about it as well. That's a lame excuse really which I will try to rectify and post more about what I do.

It's three day's into the New Year and I start back to work on Wednesday and I really dont want to. I took two weeks off over the Christmas break and I've got used to getting up at 9:30am as opposed to 6:30am when I'm working.

Anyway this is my first post of 2006 and I will try to make more posts on a regular basis.

Just Another Day
[info]hutchiebear

So yeah, It's nice to be alive, I was on the tube train in front of the one that got bombed this morning. I would have been on the bombed train if I hadn't run to catch the one I got. (I dont usually run for trains but this morning I did, fate maybe?)

We were stopped at Paddington and told that there had been an explosion in the tunnel due to a power surge which I didn't buy being an electrical engineer. I found out about 30 mins later the real truth and kinda felt a bit shakey when I got to my first call in Marylebone knowing I could have been on that train.

Within the next 45 mins the entire tube system and most main line stations shut down as did the buses. We heard various things on the radio but nobody seemed to know for sure what was going on.

By midday the awfull truth became clear but nobody seemed to panic, people were trying to get home to their loved one's. The mobile phone networks went down because the emergency services took them over so my family & friends couldn't get hold of me to find out if I was okay.

After I left Marylebone I walked to Euston and Kings Cross to see if any main line trains were running. At Kings Cross as I passed through I saw stretchers and bodybags being bought out. I finally had to walk home from Euston which took me a couple of hours.

Today could have been worse actually, the bombs could have been chemical or biological. The British people wont give in to this kind of shit, we withstood the might of the German empire in WW2 so a bunch of amateur terrorists are not gonna break the British spirit.

Tomorrow will be just another day and people will not be put off by today's events and will use public transport just as I will. So the message to the people who orchestrated today's bombings is, nice try assholes but you cant break our spirit so just go back and hide under the rock where you came from as the cowards that you are.

Today Was Very Embarrassing
[info]hutchiebear

Okay so today me & [info]justtracy went back to the "Green Wing" location as we have done for the last few weeks and after enjoying a picnic in the park opposite we went and found the location. We asked as usual if we could watch the filming and were told we could. We found ourselves a couple of seats out of the way of anybody where we could watch the scene being shot. We did notice that certain members of the crew kept looking back at us but didn't no why. Out of the blue we were confronted with a very large hospital security dude and a woman that we knew to be some kind of liason officer to the production crew. We were asked what we were doing and were told that if we had no official business or reason to be in the hospital then we had to leave. We obviously didn't protest and we were led away and escorted out which wasn't a very pleasant experience. We were both kind of stunned that this happened out of the blue and have to say that we spent a great deal of time discussing it to make some sense out of it.

The more I've been thinking about what happened today the more wound up I'm becoming. Now that I think back it was a very embarrassing situation as a lot of the cast and crew that we had previously talked to were there whilst we were being ejected from the location. I think it was a very underhand way of dealing with us and I dont believe for a minute that the hospital would have ejected us unless a complaint had been made by the production company, in fact the hospital security dude who escorted us out (who I'm sure was the biggest guy they had) told us that it was not the hospitals decision. I would like to know who made the complaint and for what reason. We got to know one of the security dudes quite well and I would have thought that any complaint against us should have come from their own security first and if we ignored it then the hospital security would be involved. We had no warning or verbal instructions from the production company that we were doing anything wrong and the security dude we got to know was conveniently absent at the time of our ejection.

I dont think I want to go back there again because I'd feel I was being watched all the time but I do want to go back and talk to the production companies security to find out who made the complaint and for what reason. I would like an answer but I doubt that we will get it.

Goodbye To Dennis
[info]hutchiebear

Today is a very sad day for me as I had to make one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make in that I had to have my friend Dennis put to sleep. Dennis was a beautiful and loyal cat and I will miss him greatly.

He would have been sixteen years old this year which is not bad for a cat and in cat years that would have made him 112 years old. He was diagnosed with a heart condition two years ago plus an unknown mass in his abdomen. Surgery was out of the question because his heart would not have withstood the procedure. So for the last two years he had to have tablets for his heart and antibiotics three times a day and I was told then that he might last a year, maybe two.

He had started to lose weight at the turn of the year which was to be expected but last weekend he stopped eating completely and even his favorite treats wouldn't tempt him. This obviously made him weak so he went into the vet on Monday and was diagnosed as being extremely dehydrated. They kept him in and put him on a drip to get some fluid into him but he didn't really respond to any food or water. I went to see him each day but there wasn't any real improvment but he did seem pleased to see me.

When I went to see him today he tried to get up and come to me because he saw it was me but fell over again because he was so weak and so thin. His eyes were all sunken and glazed and I couldn't bear to see him like that so I gave the vet permission the end it, It's the worst decision I've ever had to make and it hasn't really sunken it yet that he's gone.

The receptionist and the nurse at the surgery were crying along with me because they really loved Dennis and said that he was such a good natured cat. Even the vet was sad because he has been treating Dennis since he was a kitten. I have another cat called Jasper who I think misses him as well as they usually ate their food together and now there is only one bowl.

I could never hope to have another cat like Dennis and I will miss him for a long, long time.

[info]hutchiebear

For the past two weeks me & [info]justtracy have been visiting the location every day where “Green Wing” Series 2 is being filmed and I just have to post something about it even though I cant give any scene details.

On Saturday it was their last day of shooting for a while and we saw almost all of the main cast including Michelle Gomez (Sue White) which was a personal treat for me. We were standing behind the camera in a particular scene but Michelle Gomez and Pippa Haywood could see us in their eyeline which was distracting them so we were asked to move by security which we quickly did. A few minutes later the 1st AD came over and apologised to us that he had to move us which he didn’t have to do but it was a nice gesture. A few minutes after that Michelle Gomez came round to where we were sitting and sat about three feet away from me and just started talking about her legs aching from wearing the high heels she has to wear in character and we just starting chatting to her which was amazing and I thought afterwards “I’ve just been talking to Sue White” how cool is that.

Julian Rhind-Tutt (Mac) smiled or waved at us everytime he went by and Stephen Mangan (Guy) said “Hi” a few times as well. Mark Heap (Dr Alan Statham) gave us a few strange looks as if to say “Who the hell are those two guy’s over there”. In one scene in the X-Ray department Pippa Haywood (Joanna Claw) was sitting about four feet away from us reading her script and we heard a crew member say that he wanted to do an “Unmotivated Wiggle Through” the X-Ray department which we assumed had to be some kind of camera move but we never got to see what it was.

The crew were also very friendly that day possibly because it was the last day of shooting or maybe because they didn’t have to see our faces again for a while. It has been a very surreal experience being there with the main cast just wondering by where we were standing and we got excellent views of the scenes being shot. We promised the production crew we would not post any details of what we saw and as a result we were allowed to watch providing we didn’t get in the way.

We are hopefull that we will get to see some more shooting when/if they return to this location but again we wont be able to post any details but we are keeping our own journal of the events we have seen so hopefully when the series airs we can share some of them with any interested fans as the episodes are shown.

The Boy's Can Rock
[info]hutchiebear

So, me and [info]justtracy went to see Hanson at The London Astoria last night and I admit that I wasn't sure what to expect of them, I'd listened to their current CD and liked some of the tracks but wasn't that impressed to be quite honest.

That impression changed very quickly when the guy's came out on stage and started their set and boy oh boy can those guy's kick ass on stage. They put on a very polished act which was only let down by some minor audio problems to do with the venue not them. But it didn't stop everyone having a great time including me and my opinion of Hanson has definately changed. The Hanson merchandise unfortunately wasn't very interesting and the only thing I bought was a black & white Hanson poster for Tracy because she thought one of the guy's looked really hot in it.

The support act were a group called Farrah, they were pretty good and had a good stage presence. They also had a very cute female bass player who caught my eye. I'm gonna check out their website to see if they have any tracks to download.

Anyway, today is the last day of the Easter bank holiday and where did it go huh? Did I blink and miss it? Oh well back to work tomorrow for some of us I suppose. Still, I have my iPod Shuffle to use on site now so that cant be bad.

I Love Technology When It Works
[info]hutchiebear

[info]justtracy posted recently that she bought an iPod Mini from the Apple store in London. That little baby is something else with what you can do with it and the iTunes software that comes with it allows you to do some very fancy things with it. Me and her brother Mark were there with her and we both just had to buy the smaller iPod Shuffle which cost £69-99p.

The one we both got is the 512MB but there is a bigger 1GB version for £99-99p. This little baby measures 85mm high, 25mm wide and 9mm deep but can hold about 140 tracks which will play for over 8 hours non stop and it has a continuous play battery life of 18 hours. The sound quality with the supplied earphones is very, very good indeed.

The really good thing about the iPod Shuffle is that each time you switch it on you get a different playlist (hence the name Shuffle) so it dosen't become predictable. You can set it to play your tunes as a set playlist if you want but prefer the shuffle mode. It charges from the USB port you download MP3 tracks with and iTunes has a function that sets the volume of the tracks the same if they were downloaded from different sources.

I've had MP3 players before but never really got on with them but the iPod Shuffle is so different and so simple to use that I think I'm gonna enjoy using it for some time. I guess I've enthused enough about it now so I'll change the subject.

The new Doctor Who on Saturday night didn't dissapoint me at all. As a long time fan of the programme (I watched the very first episode back in 1964) Christopher Eccleston is going to make a good ninth Doctor. He kinda has just the right ammount of arogance and comedy that works very well. It's a move away from the other Doctors in that this one has a regional northern accent which will upset some diehard fans but as the Doctor said in the first episode "Every planet has a North". The show is more pacey than usual but that's a good thing in my opinion. I'm looking forward to seeing the Dalek's again they have always been the Doctors nemesis and I have to admit that as a young boy they and the Cybermen made me hide behind the couch a few times.

Congratulations as well to Bille Piper as Rose, she is going to make a great Doctors assistant because nothing seems to phase her, she just reacts to the moment. Having an assistant with a regional London accent may also upset a few diehard fans but if they give her a chance I'm certain she will surprise them in future episodes. With writers of the same caliber as Russel T Davies and actors such as Simon Pegg we are in for some excellent stories to come.

In other news I'm going to see Hanson tonight with [info]justtracy at the London Astoria, having listened to their latest CD I'm interested to see them live. I've never been to the London Astoria before and I believe it's standing only which we dont normally like but we'll see what the place is like.

We saw "Good Charlotte" and "The Zutons" last week at The Carling Acadamy Brixton and both were very good. We heard one new song from "The Zutons" so hopefully a new CD might be coming out soon.

I think I've rambled on enough now so I think I should go and get dressed.

Remember Me??
[info]hutchiebear

Whoa dudes It's been quite some time since I updated this journal. The job that I've been working on in Cambridge kinda took over my life for the last seven weeks but It's finished now. The money was good but getting up at 5am and not getting home until 7pm sure does mess with your head after a while.

So apologies to everyone around me especially Tracy [info]justtracy </span>if I've been more grumpy and less attentive than normal and hopefully now I can get back to a normal routine and a regular sleep pattern.

What's with the weather right now?? tomorrow (Saturday) is gonna be around 19 degrees centigrade and will probably spawn a massive surge of people getting their barbecue's out of the garden shed. But fear not the weather men are predicting colder weather so enjoy it whilst you can.

I'm looking forward to seeing Good Charlotte this Sunday at The Carling Academy Brixton with Tracy and next Tuesday we are seeing The Zutons there who were excellent last time we saw them. I've also booked tickets for us to see Hanson, Avril Lavigne, Green Day and McFly so that's a lot to look forward to.

That's all I can think of for now but I'll be back soon with more ramblings.

I really Have Got To Get Some Sleep
[info]hutchiebear

Okay so now I'm really pissed off!! These early morning journeys to Cambridge are taking there toll. Last night I fell asleep watching the finale of "Smallville" but I still have it on tape so I can watch it again.

Tonight I thought I'd watch Sunday's episode of "24" which I taped only to find that my sattellite reciever had reset itself to channel 999 so I got an hour of the Sky Information Channel instead which is bloody annoying.. There's a catchup episode on this Saturday so I'll have to watch that otherwise I wont get another chance.

Tuesday night is usually Stargate night except that "Stargate Atlantis" finished last week and the final episode of the current season of "Stargate SG1" was on tonight. Guess what, I fell asleep and missed the last 30 mins of the episode so now I'm screwed. I'll have to check the Sky listings to find if/when they are gonna repeat it.

I thought my contract in Cambridge was gonna end this Friday but they want me back next week because they are so far behind. I know it's good money but I really cant be arsed to do another week there so I'm only doing three days instead because I've really gotta catch up on some sleep.

Where did the last ten days go then?
[info]hutchiebear

Whoa!! Last time I made an entry was 26th January. This week I have been travelling backwards and forwards daily to a job just outside of Cambridge. This meant getting up at 5:30am and not getting home till 7:00pm and I have to do the same next week. The only reason I'm doing it is because the money is good.

Anyway today me, Tracy ([info]justtracy) her brother and sister went to the Electric Ballroom in Camden to a TV & Movie Exhibition that we have been to before. It was about the same as last time but neither of us actually found anything interesting that we needed. Tracy's brother bought a DVD in there and that was it. Her sister bought some stuff from Camden Market but again me & Tracy didn't which is odd because we usually do. Anyhow it was fun walking around Camden Market if nothing else.

I really enjoyed this weeks episode of "Desperate Housewives" and I can see this show developing into something very interesting. Teri Hatcher has done a shoot in this Months FHM magazine which I spent way to long looking at in W.H Smiths this morning.

The two hour starter for season four "24" was a pretty brilliant couple of episodes and no mistaking Jack is back and he means business. Nice to see Chloe back as the only crossover from season three and am I wrong in saying that she looks kinda cute compared to season three. I'm seeing a possible romantic connection between her and Jack. And the dude that took over Jacks job, as soon as I heard him laying down the law to Jack I thought okay your gonna die pretty soon and sure enough he did.

It's the last episode of "My Life In Film" on Sunday and I've enjoyed them all so far so I hope the finale will be as good. It's a parody of "Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid", I have a feeling that Jones'y will end up as the Sundance Kid for some reason.

Stargate SG1 and Stargate Atlantis are both giving me a lot of viewing pleasure as is the lovely Amanda Tapping (Lt Colonel Carter) I'm finally warming to the characters in Stargate Atlantis and I really wish they would air both shows at different times to give it a chance on it's own.

And finally, me & Tracy are gonna head back to Black Park on Sunday to see how the Harry Potter GoF location site is coming on and hopefully we will see a security dude we know that can give us an update on what's happening and when.

[info]hutchiebear

I was working in Cowley on Monday and on my way back thruogh Oxford I some some "WB LOC" signs heading away from the town centre. I followed them of course to a little village called Woodperry and as I turned into the film location there was a security dude I recognised standing there so I knew it was a Harry Potter Goblet Of Fire location.

They were filming at a 17th century hunting lodge (I think it was called Kidlington Lodge or something) for one day only and Eric Sykes was apparently in this scene and he dies. The security dude couldn't tell me anymore because they dont give call sheets out to all security staff anymore.

He was able tell me that they are starting to set up at Black Park this weekend (they have moved in already)and will be there for five weeks, the first three are for construction and the last two for shooting. Another security dude we know will be at Black Park over the weekend so we may have to check it out and get some updated information. They used Black Park before and built Hagrids Hut there plus a Whomping Willow set and I think also some Dark Forest scenes were shot there as well.

It's kinda cool that we are known  by certain WB security dudes because you can pick up interesting snippets of information

Whoa, Forgot To Post
[info]hutchiebear

Whoa, I've been kinda busy so I haven't posted for a little while so let me think what's been going on.

I'm liking "Desperate Houswives" on CH4 and Wednesday's episode was very funny. It reminds me of a mix between "Picket Fences" and "Dallas" if that makes sense. If nothing else It's good to watch Teri Hatcher who at 39 now is looking really hot. It looks like there are gonna be some good storylines coming up.

I'm also really liking "My Life In Film" on Sunday's on BBC2, this weeks episode was a spoof of Stanley Kubricks "The Shining" and it was really well done. I've not really liked Kris Marshall before in others comedy roles but this one seems to fit him to a tee. There are only four more episodes left so fingers crossed they will as good as the first two.

I saw the DVD set for "The 4400" in HMV today and was tempted to buy it although I have all of season 1 on tape. I might wait till after season two because they are bound to bring the two out together. Talking of season 2 Sky One haven't announced an airing date for the next season but It's supposed to be in 2005.

Tracy ([info]justtracy) told me earlier that Leonard Nimoy (Spock) and Nichelle Nichols (Uhura) are going to be signing at the London Expo this year. This I cant miss and I have to get both their signatures to go with the other original trek members I have.

Lastly, Tracy and I were out earlier around the Bushey area and came across no less than three film location bases. BII (The Brief) "The Land Of The Blind" and "The Catherine Tate Show". We've found that when they move base they usually do it at night when It's quiet and we just happened to be in the right places at the right time. Local to me in Roundwood Park at the moment is LD (The Last Detective) who are filming in Willesden and Dollis Hill. We caught a glimpse of the shooting schedule in one of the production trucks at Bushey Campus so we knew where they would be. We were able to get a call sheet for "The Brief" for this weekend and they are filming inside and outside of the Central Criminal Courts in London so we will probably take a look see and have some geeky fun.

Okay that's enough of my ramblings for now, more to come soon though.

Notable Moments In 2004

Before it gets too far into 2005 I thought I would list the ten most notable things that happened to me in 2004. They are not in any favorite order as each stands out on It's own.

1) Meeting George Takei (Sulu) at Collectormania in Milton Keynes for a photo oppurtunity and [info]signing, he was such a nice guy and he thanked us for our continued support.

2) Meeting Robert Patrick at The London Expo, he's a very funny guy but you wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of him.

Happy New Year
[info]hutchiebear

Hi to all who may read this and welcome to the brand new year of 2005. Been enjoying the New Years Eve celebrations with Tracy ([info]justtracy) so haven't had time to post yet. Thanks to Tracy for my new icon.</span>

Still Ugh
[info]hutchiebear
Seems like this bug I have might be going away I hope. I still feel like crap but I'm not coughing as much although it feels like I've been kicked in the chest. Tomorrow is New Years Eve so I want to be better for that.
